The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is open to having former President Goodluck Jonathan run for the presidency again in 2027 ¹.
The party has expressed its willingness to offer its platform to Jonathan, describing him as the leader Nigeria needs.
This comes after the PDP’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Abdullahi, said that Jonathan has the support and sympathy of Nigerians amid the current challenges facing the nation.
He also highlighted Jonathan’s economic policies, which maintained single-digit inflation and stabilized the Naira, as a stark contrast to the current administration’s struggles with skyrocketing inflation ¹.
However, it’s important to note that Jonathan has not yet indicated any interest in running for president again.
Additionally, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized the PDP’s move, saying it shows desperation.
