_KSSTF CHAIRMAN ASSURES SECURITY AGENCIES OF MAXIMUM COOPERATION_
Lokoja, Kogi State – January 2023
The Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund (KSSTF), Air Vice Marshal Omeiza Umar Faruk (Rtd), has assured security agencies in the state of his maximum cooperation in the fight against crime and insecurity.
AVM Faruk gave the assurance during a courtesy visit to the Commandant of the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps, Kogi State Command, Esther Akinlade, and the Controller General of the Kogi State Vigilante Service, Abdulraham Adenoyi, in their offices.
The KSSTF Chairman commended the Civil Defence for their efforts in reducing crime in the state, particularly in the areas of kidnapping, armed robbery, and vandalism.
He praised the Commandant and her team for their dedication and commitment to duty, saying that their efforts have contributed significantly to the relative peace being enjoyed in the state.

AVM Faruk also promised to create an enabling working atmosphere for the security agencies, including the provision of necessary equipment and logistics to enhance their operations.
He appealed to all security agencies to come together to protect the lives and property of the populace, saying that the KSSTF is committed to supporting them in any way possible.
In her response, the Commandant of the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps, Esther Akinlade, thanked the KSSTF for its support, particularly in the area of logistics and equipment.
She requested assistance in refurbishing grounded operational vehicles, saying that this would go a long way in enhancing their operations.
The Controller General of the Kogi State Vigilante Service, Abdulraham Adenoyi, also thanked the KSSTF for its support, saying that the vigilante service is ready to work with the fund to rid the state of crimes.
He praised the KSSTF Chairman for his commitment to security and promised to render any necessary assistance to the fund.
The visit was part of the KSSTF’s efforts to strengthen its partnership with security agencies in the state and ensure a safe and secure environment for Kogi citizens.
The KSSTF was established to provide funds for the acquisition and development of security equipment and materials for federal, state, and local government security agencies operating in Kogi State.
Director of administration of the fund Mallam Ahmed Abdulkareem thanked all the security agencies for being a part of the special occasion.
He also said the fund is grateful for the support and look forward to continuing working together in the future.
