RE; SUSPENSION OF MEMBER VERONICA OKOLO, OVER GROSS MISCONDUCT BY N.U.J
It is with sense of humility that I write to complain on issues surrounding the above subject matter, which I read on the NUJ Whatsapp platform and several online media, even when am never served any suspension letter.
As an active member of NUJ Kogi State Council, I know that the union is a well informed organization that will not allow her image to be dragged into irrelevant issues.
I will like to make it clear to the entire NUJ Executives and the General Public that my name and reputation has been dragged into mud as a result of the publications, on fictitious allegations of which the NUJ leaders in the state never called me for a fair hearing.
I know that gross misconduct is an offence punishable under the law if only the prime facce of the case is determined and found to be true.
I am unaware of any complain against me interfering in the matrimonial affairs of any member. I am also not aware of any report about my alleged gossips, backbiting against any of our members.
Since the issue border on integrity and reputation, it is a misnomer for the NUJ Executives in the state to take decisions without involving all parties concerned by way of fair hearing.
The message read that a Disciplinary Committee will be set, to give me a fair hearing; after been punished without fair hearing.
Consequentially, I will like to call the executives to reverse their decision on my suspension which has been published nation-wide without giving me an iota of fair hearing; while I urge the chairman to be fair enough to invite all parties concerned before any decision can be taken, if anyone is found guilty.

You may wish to note that I am being suspended for an offense I know nothing about and of which I am never called by any of the state executives for a fair hearing.
I may be compelled to go into litigation if no action is taken on this purported suspension and its attendance publication nation-wide; depicting open hatred on my person.
