Abandoned in Isolation: Deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero’s Plight”
Deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero Abandoned in Defective Palace, Says Kano State Governor’s Spokesperson*
Kano, Nigeria – Sanusi Bature, spokesperson for the Governor of Kano State, has alleged that the deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero has been abandoned in the Gidan Nasarawa mini palace by those who escorted him there.
In an interview with Arise TV, Bature claimed that the former Emir is being held in a “defective structure” without support or assistance from those who brought him to the palace.
He described the situation as “self-imprisonment” and expressed concern for Bayero’s well-being.
Bature also suggested that some politicians are using Bayero for their own political gain, taking advantage of his humility and dignity.
He emphasized that the former Emir is a respected person in Kano and Nigeria and deserves better treatment.
“The people who brought Ado Bayero to the mini palace have abandoned him there. Some are in London, some are in Abuja, doing their normal business, and they kept him there in a sort of self-imprisonment, which is very unfair to him,” Bature said.
He urged Bayero to recognize that he is being used for political reasons and to take steps to protect his dignity and well-being.
