“The Kogi State Security Trust Fund has donated two refurbished vehicles to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the Nigerian Correctional Service to support their logistics and enhance security in the state.
The presentation was made by the Director of Administration, Mallam Ahmed Abdulraheem, on behalf of the Chairman, Mr. Abdulraheem Ozovare Ohiare.
According to the Chairman, the trust fund was established to provide necessary support to security agencies in carrying out their duties, recognizing the state’s vulnerability to criminal activities due to its strategic location.
He emphasized the importance of supporting the NDLEA in their efforts to combat illicit drugs and the role of the correctional service in ensuring the safe custody of criminals.
The representatives of the NDLEA and the Nigerian Correctional Service, Mr. Ajakaiye Victor and Mr. David Igbago, respectively, expressed their gratitude to the Governor and the Chairman of the Security Trust Fund for the timely donation, promising to utilize the vehicles effectively in their operations.”
