Attempts by outgoing Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello of Kogi State to sway President Ahmed Bola Tinibu to influence the outcome of the petition before Kogi State election tribunal has failed.
The desperation of the outgoing Governor took a new twist when a reliable source got hint of the development during the meeting of the Nigeria Governor’s Forum (NGF) with President Tinibu at the President’s private residence in Lagos over the weekend.
The President at the meeting was said to be surprised by the humble disposition of the outgoing Governor as he tried in vain to lobby the President on the ongoing Kogi State election tribunal matter.
In President Tinubu’s reaction which jolted the outgoing Governor Bello, the President was said to have rather thanked the governor’s forum for their yelutide visit.
The President also advised the members of the governor’s forum to face governance and make their people happy.
