EFFECTIVE EXPORTER / STAFF RELATIONSHIP DESCRIBED AS CATALYST FOR THE GROWTH OF NON- OIL EXPORT SECTOR

Effective Exporter/ Staff relationship has been described as a catalyst for the growth and development of the non oil export sector in the country.
Kogi state coordinator of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council ( NEPC ), Hajia Amina Abdulmalik stated this in a message at a workshop organised for Non – oil Exporters and Nigerian Export Promotion Council Staff relationship.
Hajia Amina Abdulmalik said Exporters/ Staff relationship is about identifying inefficiencies, streamlining processes and leveraging on available resources in the most efficient manner possible, adding that by doing so, it enhances out put and ensure the best use of time and talents amongst the non- oil Exporters and staffers of the sector.
She stresses that , in the present world where competition is fierce and expectations are constantly on the rise, it has become imperative for the non-oil and staff to exceed the standards of excellence in all they do and urged participants at the workshop to embrace the challenges that lies ahead with optimism and determination by investing in themselves and for the success of the Export sector.
In his contribution, the newly posted NEPC coordinator to Kogi state, Mr Aniekpeno Usenide commended the participants for their zeal and interest towards impacting more knowledge on Exporter/ staff relationship.
Mr Aniekpeno Usenide called on Exporters to improve on the level of processing and packaging of their products to attract international market.
He said to get the right thing done, participants should form clusters and collaborate with NEPC to help promote the standards of their products.
The resource person at the workshop said the workshop was aimed at fostering a culture of collaboration, communication and support amongst Exporters and staff of the Nigeria’s non oil Export sector, noting that the non oil Export sector holds immense potential for economic diversification and sustainable development in the country.
He called for an improved collaboration and partnership between non- oil Exporters and NEPC Staff and implored Exporters to always draw an implementation plan and communicate program details to management for proper follow up.
Participants at the workshop includes Kogi Women Farmers Initiative, NASSI, Cassava association, D – Wonder Pharmacy, Omoladun herbal therapy, Maize association MAN among others.
