“Empowering Women in Kogi State: Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation Partners with Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa

In a groundbreaking move, the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation (KSBC) has partnered with Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa Kogi Chapter, a non-governmental organization dedicated to educating and supporting women.

This collaboration aims to amplify the voices of women in Kogi State and promote gender equality through the power of radio.

During a courtesy visit to the KSBC offices in Lokoja, Princess Nana Hauwa, Director General of KSBC, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership.

“We are committed to using our platform to educate and sensitize women in Kogi State,” she said.

“Through accurate information dissemination and engaging programs, we will empower women to take control of their lives and make informed decisions.”

Hajia Fatima Yakubu, Chairperson of Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa, praised the KSBC for its dedication to women’s empowerment.

“Our primary goal is to educate and support women in the state, and we are thrilled to have the radio station as a partner in this mission,” she said.

This partnership is a testament to the Kogi State Government’s commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and Commissioner for Information and Communication Kingsley Fanwo have been instrumental in supporting initiatives that promote women’s rights and social justice.

Through this collaboration, KSBC and Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa will produce and broadcast programs focused on women’s health, education, economic empowerment, and social welfare.

The partnership will also create a platform for women to share their stories, challenges, and triumphs, inspiring others to take action.
