Group Organises a Free medical outreach in Igah Ocheba in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi

President , Ocheba Like Minds Forum, Dr Jeremiah Oberah has advised the people of Igah Ocheba to always take care of the health as health is wealth.

He made the statement during a free medical outreach in Igah Ocheba recently.

In his speech, the group president ,Dr Jeremiah Oberah
highlights the importance of community health initiatives and the commitment of the forum to improving the well-being of the people in the community.

Dr. Obera emphasized the significance of access to quality healthcare services and expressed gratitude to the volunteers and partners who contributed to making the medical outreach a reality.

He further noted that the exercise was wholly put together by nine persons and individuals in the academic and Public Service.

While officially declaring the medical outreach opened, the National Chairman of the Ocheba Progressive Association (OPA) Elder Nathaniel Idoko; JP, commended the efforts of the Ocheba Like Minds Forum in organizing such a beneficial program for the community.

He encouraged residents to take advantage of the services provided and stressed the importance of regular health check-ups for overall well-being, buttressing his position with Bible book of 3rd John vs 2.

The free medical outreach featured a range of essential healthcare services, including general medical consultations, blood pressure and sugar level check-ups, health education sessions, and free drugs dispensing.

About two hundred and fifty persons from Igah Ocheba and its environs benefitted from the gesture.

According to Dr Oberah, Skilled healthcare professionals volunteered their time and expertise to provide care and support to individuals of all ages, addressing various health concerns and promoting preventive measures.

He said the success of the free medical outreach organized by the Ocheba Like Minds Forum serves as a testament to the power of community engagement and collective action in addressing health challenges and improving the quality of life for all residents.

Commenting on the Exercise, Dr. Emmanuel Abah, one of the resource Medical Doctors, commended OLM for a successful maiden outing.

He noted that response from residents was very encouraging and urged the organisers to learn from identified mistakes, which are common with maiden programmes such as this.

He further appealed to OLM to help in improving on the existing health facility in the community, in the areas of manpower and equipment so that there will be continuity in the management of chronic diseases like hypertension, diabetes etc, identified during the exercise.

Responding onbehalf of beneficiaries, Mr. David Ameh thanked OLM for the initiative.

He noted that the organisers of the medical outreach who are sons of the community have exhibited a high sense of love for their homestead by giving back to their root.

His joy knows no bound, and he prayed for God’s guidance and protection over them.

Similarly , Chief Peter Oche, who said he has been battling with severe waist pain, appreciated OLM for remembering them and extending free medical consultation and medications to them.

He added that from the ambience of the atmosphere, every beneficiary is excited and expressed the hope that the gesture will be sustained.
