Igala Student Association ( I. S . A. ) Condole With the ATTAH of Igala Over Sister’s Death
Igala Student Association ( National) (ISA) has condoled with the Attah Igala and Chairman Kogi State Traditional Council of Chiefs, His Royal Majesty, Mathew Alaji Opaluwa over the death of his sister, the Iye Akwuma Attah Igala, Chief Memunat Opaluwa-Sani, her daugther and grand daughter.
The Association in a condolence message by its Public Relations Officer, Ahmadu Enyojo Hope described the deaths of late Mallama Memunat Opaluwa-Sani her daughter, Hajarat Usman Alfa Sani and her five-year-old granddaughter, Onechojo as tragic, sacrilegious and barbaric.
Enyojo who said the death of the Akwuma Attah Igala, Mallama Memunat Opaluwa-sani was a loss to the entire Igala Kingdom, urged everyone to remain strong.
She called on relevant security agencies to as a matter of urgency investigate the alleged arson and bring to book perpetrators of the crime so as to serve as a deterrent to others.
Enyojo prayed God Almighty to grant the souls of late Mallama Meimunat Opaluwa Sani, her daughter, Hajarat Usman Sani and granddaughter, Onechojo eternal rest.
She also prayed God to grant the Attah Igala, His Royal Majesty, Mathew Alaji Opaluwa and the immediate families of the deacead the fortitude to bear the loss.
The Akwuma Attah Igala, Late Mallama Opaluwa Sani died on Thursday, 4th January, 2024 at the age of 75, alongside her five-year-old granddaughter, Onechojo in an inferno at her Oketekwe residence in Idah, Kogi State.
