Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa Kogi Chapter Partners with NTA
The President of Jamiyar Matan Arewa, Hajia Fatima Yakubu, has issued a heartfelt appeal to stakeholders to partner with the association in its quest to improve the lives of women and children in society.
During a courtesy visit to the office of the General Manager of Nigeria Television Authority, Alh Yahaya Adams, in Lokoja, Hajia Yakubu emphasized the association’s unwavering dedication to the welfare of women and children.
As a non-political, religious, and non-partisan organization, Jamiyar Matan Arewa relies heavily on the support of its members through monthly dues and personal donations.
However, the association recognizes that it cannot achieve its goals alone and is seeking additional support from external stakeholders to continue its vital work.
Hajia Yakubu stressed the importance of grassroots engagement, saying, “We need to go to the roots to identify the problems facing women and bring them to light for government assistance. By doing so, we can create a brighter future for our children and empower women to reach their full potential.”
Alh Yahaya Adams commended the association for its tireless efforts despite economic hardships and pledged his support.
He encouraged mothers to take an active role in raising their children, emphasizing the critical role they play in shaping the next generation.
The General Manager also promised to collaborate with the association and contribute his quota when needed.
The Secretary of Jamiyar Matan Arewa, Engr Grace, assured Alh Yahaya Adams that the association would not take their help for granted. “We are grateful for your support and promise to use it wisely to benefit our members and the community at large,” she said.
Grace Inametti, Manager of News and Current Affairs, thanked the association for their visit and promised to cover their activities whenever possible.
“We recognize the importance of your work and are committed to supporting you in any way we can,” she said.
