Kogi journalists charged on the need for fair reportage

Chairman Kogi State Chapter of Nigeria Union of Journalist ( NUJ) Alhaji Adeiza Momohjimoh has called on journalist to always put God first whatever they do.
The chairman who was represented by the treasurer of the association, Mr. Bayo Aka made gave the charge at the Baptist church, lokoja.
According to him, as part of the activities to mark the press week, journalist gathers every year to thank God for how thus he has kept them and their families.
He further urged journalist to always be objective, fair and honest in their reportage because the society is depending on them for good reportage.
He thanked the church management for giving journalists an opportunity to come and worship with them on the church 58th songs of service.
Speaking earlier, the resident pastor of the church,pastor Theophilus Akinbode who spoke on the importance of Thanksgiving, enjoined all to always thank God in all situation, this is because according to him, being alive is a previlege.
Pastor Akinbode further admonished christians to always thank God for what he has done, the one he is doing now and the one he is yet to do.
He advised believers not to take praising of God for granted saying praises can be used as weapon of war and protection by the children of God.
