Kogi Nawoj Advises Mother’s to always watch out for their children
Kogi State Chapter of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), has appealed to the State Government to constitute a task force to monitor the activities of internet fraudsters in the State.
Chairperson of the Association, Mrs. Ann Olurinde made the appeal when she led members of the Association on a sensitization visit on the dangers of internet fraud popularly called Yahoo Yahoo in Lokoja markets.
Mrs Olurinde said the need to set up task force need to be set up by the state government to check the activities of youths as many has engage themselves in cyber crime activities.
The chairperson advised parent to bring up their children in the way of God, make the children their best friends to and always monitor their friends and movement.
The Kogi State Secretary of Nawoj, Hajia Rabi Jibo Mohammed said this days Mother’s has little or no time for their children, hence the need for them to be sensitize in the market.
She called on hotel managers to verify and make proper enquiry before given out rooms to young boys and girls and called on landlord to also verify tenants types of business or job type before accepting their rents.
Speaking the Special adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Media Mrs Billy Nwogwu Avoyi challenge parents to be wary of what children does with phones at home and school.
Other members also intimate mother’s on the dangers of drug abuse, how to dictate early and possible prevention.
