KOGI STATE SECURITY TRUST FUND DEFENDS 2024 BUDGET PROPOSALS

The Executive Chairman, Kogi State Security Trust Fund, Hon. Samari Teina Abdulmalik led the Management and Staff of the Trust Fund to defend the proposed 2024 budget of the Agency.

Samari, while defending the budget said, the sole objective of the Trust Fund is to provide money for the acquisition and deployment of security equipment, human, materials and financial resources necessary for effective functioning of all Federal, state, Local Government and other security agencies operating in the state and part of the fund shall be reserved for the training of security personnel.

To achieve this, the Executive Chairman, solicited the support of the Honourable House to secure appropriate allocation for the Trust Fund activities in the year 2024.

Hon. Samari said, the Agency proposed to procure patrol vehicles for security agencies, establish first of it kinds in Nigeria, the Trust Fund’s Central Logistics Base, construct Bases for Local Hunters across major roads in the state, procure security motorcycles for Local Hunters, and so on.

Earlier the Chairman, House Committee on Security, Vigilante and Home Affairs, Hon Major Enefola, commended the Executive Chairman, Kogi State Security Trust Fund, Hon. Samari Teina Abdulmalik, for complimenting the efforts of the State Government in ensuring the Kogi State maintain the front seat as the safest state in Nigeria.

The Trust Fund proposed a capital receipt of six hundred million naira (N600,000,000.00), salaries and allowances of four million naira (N4,000,000.00) overhead costs of four hundred and twenty-nine million, One hundred and fifty thousand naira (N429,150,000.00) and capital expenditure of four hundred million naira (N400,000,000.00) for the year 2024.
