The Executive Chairman Kogi State Security Trust Fund, Hon Abdulraheem Ozovehe Ohiare, has said, in spite of occasional flashes of criminalities in the state, Kogi still remains one of the most peaceful and safe states in Nigeria.
Ohiare, made this known while handling over refurbished patrol vehicles to security agencies in Lokoja.
The Chairman explains that, the gesture was part of the commitment of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo led administration towards providing the needed support for all security agencies operating in the state.
According to him Governor Ododo’s administration placed a premium on the dignity of human lives and vowed to smoke out all criminals in the state from their hidings and make the state uncomfortable for them.
Hon Ohiare said, the State Government is doing all these to ensure security agencies are better equipped and strengthened to carry out their constitutional duties of protecting lives and property and combating criminalities in our dear state.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, DSV Yusuf Abubakar, Commander, Lokoja Local Government Command, thanked the State Government and the Trust Fund for the gesture, stressing that, the patrol vehicles will spur the agencies to do more in their efforts to stem crimes and criminalities in Kogi State.
