Kogi State Commissioner for youths and Sports Development Alhaji, Idris Musa has urged Nigerian youths to intensify efforts in acquiring modern skills to make them relevant in future.
Honourable Idris gave the advice while speaking with journalist in an interview in his office to mark the International Youths Day in lokoja.
The Commissioner said this year idea of celebrating international Youths Day was tag ” green skill”. Which stand for value needed to sustain efficiency society, noting that
green skills is a new climate change that youths must be adopted to support one another in the course of advancing society..
Alhaji Musa maintained that sports activities is always on ground for the youths to engage themselves for self reliance.
The commissioner pleaded with the youths to be patient with the present government of bola Ahmed Tinubu , stating that the government is on track to curb the effect of fuel subsidy removal …
He further commended governor yahaya bello for his efforts in ensuring youths in the state engage themselves in difference skills and empowering them positively.
The Commissioner added that the state are in preparation Ahead of the National Youths game coming up, assuring that the Governor is always ready to support the ministry to attain more achievements.

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, has reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to promptly settle the players’ outstanding bonuses and allowances.
Gusau gave a speech in which she thanked Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, for her assistance to the Super Falcons squad before, during, and after their performance in the Women’s World Cup.
President Gusau addressed the media, expressing his appreciation for the resolute dedication exhibited by the Super Falcons throughout the tournament.
He acknowledged the challenges the team faced in the lead-up to the competition, including disputes over wages and allowances.
These pre-tournament events added significant pressure to the players and coaching staff.
He elaborated on the financial aspects of the players’ earnings, mentioning that due to their remarkable performance reaching the round of 16, each player is set to receive a sum of $60,000.
President Gusau highlighted the NFF’s initial hope for the team to progress further in the competition, enabling the players to earn even more substantial rewards.
He further emphasized the NFF’s commitment to delivering on its promise and ensuring that the hardworking athletes receive their dues in a timely manner.
The Interim Management Committee (IMC) managing the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has extended the resumption date of the new football season by two weeks.
The IMC had originally set 26 August as the NPFL kickoff date for the 2023/24 season, but it has now been extended by two weeks to 8/10 September.
According to the statement released by the IMC, the reason for the extension is to properly prepare for a full season since it won’t be played in an abridged format.
Recall that the committee proposed that the new season be held just like the just concluded season before club owners overturned the idea.
The IMC also revealed that the newly launched NPFL live app which was commissioned last week has not been fully utilised and tested across the selected stadia.
It added that there is a clash of match schedules from the four Nigerian teams who are taking part in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup as they begin their preliminary stage later this weekend.
The IMC will hold the draw ceremony for the new season in Lagos this Thursday.
