In an attempt to assist security agencies to curb criminality in
the State, the Chairman Kogi State Security Trust, Hon Abdulkareem Ozovehe has flagged off the distributions of motorcycles to security agencies in the state.
According to him, the Trust Fund is acting on the directives of the executive governor of Kogi State Usman Ahmed Ododo who has already given approval for the procurement of 35 motorcycles to the 21 local government to rid Kogi of Crimes.
The distributions started with the provision of 5 motor cycles and ten tyres to Nigeria civil defense corps and quick response units all from the central.
He said operational vehicles for hunters and security agencies from the west and east is been refurbished and tyres were also donated to the security operatives too.
Hon Ozovehe further said Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has also given the approval for the procurement of Sixteen flying boats for the seven riverine local government namely Ibaji, Idah, Ofu, Omala, Bassa, Ajaokuta and Kogi local government to enable security operatives fight crimes on the water ways.
In his words” the state governor is doing everything possible to make sure that the perpetrators of all these crimes especially robbery and kidnapping in the state are arrested and brought to book” he added.
He said the state government is presently working with National Union of Road Transport Workers and Okada Riders Association to fish out the criminals that are pretending to be parts of these associations to perpetrate crimes.
He appeals to Kogians to assist the security agencies by giving a fore hand information to security agencies and by reporting any suspicious activities in the community.

Salihu Mohammed thanked the state government for the Provision of motorcycles and tyres to the security agencies.
He promises to make sure with the provision of all the security equipment, crimes would be a thing of the past in the state.
