“Kwali Sheda council receives a visit from Floliz Nigeria Limited, a leading technology company.”

Floliz Nigeria Limited recently visited the National Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) in Kwali, Abuja for a conference themed “The Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 Opening: Data Privacy and Cyber Security.

The event, which was organized to educate and raise awareness about data protection and cybersecurity, began with a prayer led by Mr. Daniel Ethang at the conference hall in Kwali. The prayer set a solemn and thoughtful tone for the rest of the event.

Representatives from each department of the NERDC, including Science, Technology, and Vocational Education (STVE), Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH), and Curriculum Development (CD), introduced themselves and highlighted the important work their departments are doing. They also spoke about how data protection and cyber security are essential to their work.

Dr. Imaobong Nsehe, a representative from Floliz Nigeria Limited, a computer security service organization, stressed the importance of implementing what they would learn at the conference in their daily work.

She also encouraged all attendees to take data protection seriously, both at the Kwali area council and beyond.

Mr. Daniel OBang, a representative from Floliz, highlighted the organization’s core services and goals, which include the implementation of risk-based security frameworks and guidance for other financial institutions (OFIs), website and mobile application vulnerability and penetration testing, and the implementation of information security management standards (ISO).
