NNPP SUSPENDS ITS LOKOJA L G CHAIRMAN

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kogi State has suspends its Lokoja Local Government Chiarman Muhammed Jibrin over allegation of gross misconduct, Anti party activities among other offences.

Addressing the press at the party secretariat in Lokoja on Tuesday, the leader of party and one time candidate of the party for kogi west senatorial district for the 2023 general election, Hon. Abubakar Ibukun stated that the activities of Muhammed Jibrin in recent time has brought total disrespect to the NNPP, and that he can’t continue to enjoy the patronage of the party, hence he should be suspended while Hon. Yunusa Mahmud is appointed as Acting Chiarman of the party.

According to him, a seven man committee is to be set up to investigate the activities of the former Party Chairman.

He also directed him to handover all official documents of the party to the party Secretariat as law enforcement agencies and the Independent National Electorial Commission ( INEC) is being urged to take cognisance of this development.

Hon. Abubakar also noted that the party is presenting a candidate in the kogi state governorship election as all members of the party are advised to support the candidate, stressing that if there is need for other decisions, all members will be consulted before further action.

He maintained that the party was not ready to surrender its legitimacy to any other party.

Members of the investigative committee to look into the allegations against the suspended chairman are :
Hon. Abdul Siaka Chiarman ,Mrs Segun Docas B. Secretary ,while Kogi west woman leader Mrs Jemila Salihu , Abubakar Abdullahi , Husseni Muhammed are to serves as members.

Confluence Trust news reports that as the 2023 Kogi State Governorship Election draw nearer, political parties are canvassing for votes from the electorate across the state and the NNPP is not an exception in that regard.
