Obajana Accident: KSSTF Pledges Support for Victims’ Families and Communities

In the aftermath of the devastating accident in Oyo-Iwaa, Obajana, which claimed two lives, including the Obajana Hunters Group Commander, and resulted in one person being kidnapped, the Kogi State Security Trust Fund has extended its deepest sympathies to the victims’ families and the affected communities

AVM Omeiza Umar (Rtd.), Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund, has reassured the public that the government is working tirelessly to restore peace and bring those responsible to justice.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has also pledged his full commitment and support for actions that will help restore safety and security in the area.

The Kogi State Government has a zero-tolerance policy for threats to peace and stability, and Governor Ododo’s administration prioritizes security above all else .

To address the situation, the government has embarked on a multi-faceted approach, engaging in community meetings with traditional rulers, community leaders, and security stakeholders to strengthen grassroots security efforts and deescalate the situation.

Furthermore, the government is working closely with security agencies to restore peace and bring those responsible to justice, while also urging residents to remain calm and vigilant, and to report any suspicious activities.

To enhance security, the Kogi State Security Trust Fund has implemented measures to ensure the safety and security of all residents.

These measures include engaging with the community to strengthen grassroots security efforts and deescalate the situation, collaborating with security agencies to restore peace and bring those responsible to justice, and promoting public awareness to encourage residents to remain calm and vigilant, and to report any suspicious activities.

Governor Ododo’s administration has demonstrated its commitment to security, having presented over 120 operational vehicles to various security agencies in the state .

The Kogi State Security Trust Fund has also emphasized the importance of utilizing security equipment provided by the government to schools and security agencies
