OCM SENDS HEARTFELT CONDOLENCE MESSAGE TO GOV BELLO, INCOMING GOVERNOR ALH ODODO AND THE ENTIRE EBIRA NATION OVER THE DEMISE OF OHINOYI OF EBIRALAND
The Director General of Ododo Consolidating Movement (OCM), Hon. Oyibo Yaqub Suleimam has sent his condolences message to the Executive Governor of Kogi State Alh. (Dr) Yahaya Adoza Bello, the incoming Governor Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman and the general public over the death of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, and Vice-Chairman, Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji (Dr). Ado Ibrahim.
Oyibo who announced the suspension of the electioneering campaign in the Central Senatorial District to honour the deceased also condoled with the members of the Support Group.
“On behalf of the Ododo Consolidating Movement (OCM), I sincerely and deeply commiserate with His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers, the Ebira Area Traditional Council, the Okene Local Government Area Traditional Council, the good people of Ebira land and Kogi State as a whole, on the sad event of the passage of our revered monarch, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, and Vice-Chairman, Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji (Dr). Ado Ibrahim.” He said.
I also deeply and sincerely commiserate with the entire Attah family of Okene and members of the immediate family of the sage whose exit has left a huge vacuum hard to fill.
Indeed, the passage of the patriarch is a huge blow not just to his immediate family, Kingdom and Kogi State, but also to the entire traditional, religious and bureaucratic institutions in Nigeria which have hugely benefitted from his reservoir of intellect, resourcefulness and immutable wisdom.
As one of the oldest and most revered monarchs in the country, he stood out boldly in humanitarian commitment, philanthropism, bridge-building and peace promotion.
However, we will continue to take solace in the iconic, inspiring and exemplary message of his life, which we will imbibe and use as a compass in our service to humanity.
According to Secretay of the OCM, Mallam Sadiq Ibrahim, he noted that it is a mourning period for the land, the State and the Nation at large. But we thank God for his life well spent and his blessed reign stressing that his soul rest in peace.
Oyibo finally asked the Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and granted him Aljanat Firdaus (Ameen).
