Ohiare Calls for Public Support in Securing Kogi State”

“Kogi State Security Trust Fund Chairman, Hon. Abudulraheem Ozovehe Ohiare, has urged the public to collaborate with security agencies in the state by providing timely information to help rid the state of criminals.

He made this call during a ceremony where refurbished vehicles were presented to security agencies at the state secretariat in Lokoja.

The presentation of vehicles is part of the state government’s efforts, led by Governor Usman Ododo, to protect lives and properties in Kogi State.

Ohiare emphasized that securing the state is a collective responsibility and appealed to security agencies to make good use of the vehicles.

Earlier, Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Aliyu Umar, commended Ohiare and his team for providing logistics to security agencies.

He also praised security agencies for their proactive efforts in reducing crime in the state.

Umar commended Governor Ododo for his timely intervention in supporting the Kogi State Security Trust Fund.

Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Kabba, Prof. Kehinde Eniola, appreciated the governor and the Trust Fund for providing security around the school and its environs.

He promised that the five motorcycles presented to the school would be well-maintained and serve their purpose.

A total of nine refurbished vehicles and five motorcycles were presented to security agencies, including the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the Nigeria Mobile Police Force, Lokoja,Civil Defence and Kogi State University, Kabba.

Representing the beneficiaries, Deputy Commander of Narcotics, Tuki Andershark, thanked the Trust Fund for the gesture and promised that the vehicles would be used solely for their intended purpose.

Director of Admin of the Trust Fund, Ahmed Abudulraheem, thanked the speaker for his encouragement and the beneficiaries for attending despite short notice.”
