Person’s with Disabilities calls for the Implementation of Sexual and Reproductive Health Right.
Stakeholders in kogi state have been advised to implement the policies on sexual and reproductive health drive for women and girls with disabilities.

for Women with disabilities Initiative, Mr Kolawole Jayeoba gave the advice at a Strategic Stakeholders Training on sexual and reproductive health rights of Women and girls with Disabilities in lokoja.
Mr Kolawole says the Advocacy for women with disabilities was in the state to call for inclusion in services facilities that would help access hospitals,primary health care services that would enable them be part of the Society as women.
The programme Manager explained that the training is an eye opener for women and disabilities to know their rights toward government and the society, challenging the duty bearers to play their role effectively.
He called on stakeholders to implement the policies of persons with disabilities Haven signed into law,it Should be practiced to reduced the stigmatization and advised Religious body to make places of worship accessible by having access to
Ramp and signed languages.
Speaking the kogi State Board Chairman Disabilities Affairs,Mr Arome Ibrahim says the Advocacy training in kogi state was apt noting that the Women are most vulnerable as they faced double descrimination and Stigmatization daily,hence the need to reduce such attitude to it’s bearest Minimum.
The State Coordinator Awwdi Mr Agness Ejeh appreciate the National coordinator for bringing the training to kogi state, noting it would help enlighten members and citizens on the rights of people with disabilities.
At a Stakeholders discuss, the representatives of CAN,NSCDC,NOA ,Radio Kogi and Ministry of health both agreed to work in line with the disabilities acts.
