Salihu-Otaru Takes Helm as Kogi State Bureau of Lands Director General

In a significant development, the Kogi State Government has appointed Kehinde Augustine Salihu-Otaru as the new Director General of the Kogi State Bureau of Lands.

This appointment was confirmed by the State House of Assembly after Salihu-Otaru met the necessary requirements, paving the way for his immediate resumption of duty.

Salihu-Otaru is a seasoned town planner with a wealth of experience in urban and regional planning.

Prior to his appointment, he served as the Chief Town Planning Officer with the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) in Abuja.

Born on October 29, 1973, Salihu-Otaru hails from Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The new Director General holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning (B.URP) from Ahmadu Bello University, which he obtained in 2003.

He is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners and the Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC).

Salihu-Otaru is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, a testament to his expertise and commitment to the field.

Upon resuming office, Salihu-Otaru expressed his dedication to advancing the policies and objectives of Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo with great vigor.

He views his appointment as a duty and privilege to contribute to the development of Kogi State. With his wealth of experience and professional background, Salihu-Otaru is well-positioned to drive the Bureau of Lands towards achieving its goals.
