Former federal lawmaker Shehu Sani has expressed deep condolences over the passing of Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams, the Member of the House of Representatives for Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in Kaduna State.
In a tweet, Sani described Adams’ death as “a great loss to Kaduna State and the country” and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State also mourned the late lawmaker, calling him “a trailblazer and fearless politician.”
The governor said he received the news of Adams’ passing with great sadness.
In his tweet, Shehu Sani wrote: “A great loss to Kaduna State and the country. May his soul rest in peace.”
Late Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams was a member of the House of Representatives, representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency of Kaduna State on the Labour Party (LP) platform. He was elected to the House in 2023.
Adams passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the age of 39 after a brief illness. He served as the chairman of the House Committee on Sports until his untimely death.
The late lawmaker was known for his dedication to serving his constituents and the nation.
His sudden demise has left a void in the political landscape of Kaduna State and the country as a whole.
