SWS to hold National Congress from 13th to 16th in Abuja
A Non-Governmental Organization, StandUp for Women Society, (SWS) will be hosting members from within and outside Nigeria for her 2nd National Conference coming up in the Nigeria’s Federal Capital, Abuja from 13th to 16th September 2023.
The theme of the conference is “Women: Bridge Builder in Good Governance and Societal Balance”.
Standup for women Society has its membership drawn from the 36 States of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja and 22 other African countries.
Members from within Nigeria as well as 6 African country’s chapter Presidents will attend the national conference.
This was contained in a statement from the office of the Convener of the conference, Barr. (Mrs) Deborah A. Ijadele Adetona who is also the international President of the organization.

The conference would be chaired by former Ogun State Governor, Senator Gbenga Daniel, FNSE, while the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume, would be the Special Guest of Honour, Hajia Titi Abubakar Atiku is expected as the Mother of the Day.
His Eminence, Alhaji (Dr) Abubakar Shehu Abubakar lll CFR, Emir of Gombe would be the Father of the Day.
The Conference is billed to have four speakers; Mrs Christiana Ekaete, an Abuja based women Activist, Mrs Laniyan would give the keynote address.
Ms Grace Mimi from South Africa is expected to be the first Speaker, while Hajiya Zaynab Jamil Gwamna from Gombe State would be the 2nd Speaker.
Other Speakers include; Hajia Aisha Yesufu, a human rights activist cum Politician and Rt Hon. Dr. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu from Enugu State.
