Vocation Education Nigeria solution to Mass Youth unemployment ..Dr Mrs Jagboro

The Provost of Kogi State of Education Technical, Mopa, Dr. Mrs Jagboro Victoria Olushola has disclosed that the importance of the Technical and Vocational education can not be over emphasized and a veritable tool to reduce and eradicate mass youths unemployment in Nigeria.

Dr Jagboro made this known while speaking on the sideline of the Nigeria Education Award presentation organised by Nigeria Education Merit Award.

She explained that the main purpose of Technical Education is to provide gainful job opportunities for the youths who are preparing to enter occupations in agriculture, business, home-making, industrial and Technical areas.

She therefore urged the governments to fund the Technical education and tasked the National College of Education Commission NCEC to liaise with relevant agencies to ensure Colleges of Education Technical are granted autonomy to award degrees to their student in distance future.

She pointed out that the journey towards the accomplishment was not easy throughout in the past eight years in office, it was with the support and cooperation of my management team, they provided unconditional support to me.

 ” I am thankful to the management team who showed so much of trust and faith in me, which was the constant energy boost for me.”,she stressed.

In his earlier speech the organiser of the award and the chief executive of the Nigeria Education Merit Award Platform Asiwaju Temitayo Ayodele said the effort of the organisation is tailored towards Championing Selflessness Hard Work Brilliancy and Academic Excellence.

He added that the awards is not borne out of  personal vendetta but your admirable achievement and commitment towards the development of the the college of education technical Mopa Kogi State Education sector  in the North Central and Nigeria at large.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of award to the provost and the management team of the schools.
