Voice of Women in Nigeria Kogi Chapter has called on government at all levels to help in reducing the economic hardship in the state

Government at all levels have been called upon to come to the aid of kogites to enable them face the present economic challenges.

The kogi state coordinator Voice of Women in Nigerian Leadership Initiative Mrs Veronica Okolo made the call in an interview with Radio kogi 94.1 FM on food insecurity hunger and starvation in lokoja.

She said the call has became necessary because citizens can no longer provide the three square meal for their families not to talk about the adequate meal.

Prices of food stuff has drastically increased in the market across the state,and as a civil servants the monthly take home could not provide anything tangible for the family hence the need for kogi state government to make other arrangements for it’s citizens.

She advised that the presents administration should as a mater of fact flood kogi market with grains, tubers of yams and other eatables at subsidised rate for a better kogi state.

On security she called on them to put more efforts by employing more local hunters who know and understand every knocks and crannies to help checkmate the activities of kidnappers in our various communities.

Also Speaking, Mrs Grace Oguche advised the state government to provide mass transit buses for inter city bus and inter local buses at a subsidised rate to help reduced the hardship faced by the people.

On her part, Mrs Dangana Ochaja advised the politicians in the state, both state and federal representatives to come to the aid of their supporters, by providing trucks of grains tubers of yams and other valuable to help reduced their hardship.

Also speaking, Mrs Aisha Audu explained that on security, kogi government has tried it best but alots need to be done, explaining that other avenue has been put in place by engaging the hunters and other sister security agencies to work together for better kogi state.
